Trout Lake, a short walk from your door
Guests at Trout Lake Oasis walk over for the off-leash dog area, the lake loop, the summer beach and the Saturday farmers market.

Walk the lake
The trail around Trout Lake is 1.2 km and takes 15 to 25 minutes on foot. It’s flat and wheelchair accessible, with mountain views to the north and plenty of birds along the shore.
Batch, the summer pop-up bar
New in summer 2026, Batch opened a pop-up outdoor bar just behind the beach on the south side of the lake, with drinks and live music Friday to Sunday. It also teamed up with DownLow Burgers at the park’s concession, serving burgers, fries and hot dogs. It’s seasonal, so check it’s open before you go.
Saturday farmers market
The Trout Lake Farmers Market runs Saturdays, 9 am to 2 pm, from April to October, at Lakewood Drive and East 13th Avenue. It’s run by Vancouver Farmers Markets: check eatlocal.org for this year’s dates and vendors.

Fields and playgrounds
John Hendry Park has two playgrounds, five baseball diamonds, soccer and rugby fields, and tennis and basketball courts. It’s an easy place to let kids burn off energy before dinner.
